Twenty years after the first-gen Rode NT1 dropped and flipped the proverbial table of the studio world, we get the NT1 5th Gen: a large-diaphragm condenser microphone boasting an extreme dynamic range and USB as well as XLR connectivity. This progressive studio microphone comes bundled up with an SM6 shockmount with an integrated pop filter, an XLR cable and a USB-C cable.
Revolutionary Design
With a mere 4dB-A self-noise level, the NT1 5th Gen is, at the moment of writing, the most silent large-diaphragm condenser on Earth, and to get the most out of the enormous dynamic range, no corner has been cut when it comes to the internal preamp. The Rode Revolution preamp immediately unleashes clean and punchy sound wiped clean of noise - and this level of quality is only elevated by the resolution. When USB-connected, this microphone is able to record audio in 192kHz quality with a 32-bit floating point - meaning that distortion is virtually impossible.
XLR & USB
In the process, Rode has also managed to design a unique and exclusive connection port: the Rode Dual Connect, which neatly combines an XLR port with a USB-C, setting you up with both options in one. So now, rather than forking out for a separate USB mike, you get a model that you can either hook up to a mixer or audio interface via a standard XLR cable or connect directly to your computer via USB. It's that neat and that simple. And you're not even limited to using just one USB microphone at once: connect multiple NT1 5th Gen condensers up to a USB hub and your computer will recognise the setup as a single audio interface.

Voor de Prijk/kwaliteit van deze RODE NT1 5th Gen moet je niet verder zoeken...hij doet wat moet!
In het begin dacht ik even dat ik iets vreemd hoorde aan de klank maar na wat zoekwerk was dit het gevolg van de ruimte waarin hij gebruikt werd en niet de microfoon.
Het zal zeker niet mijn laatste RODE zijn!
Zeer tevreden over de Rode microfoon had hiervoor een microfoon die duurder was maar vind deze veel beter

Ik wilde geen concessie doen aan kwaliteit voor het opnemen van zang. Daarom gekozen voor deze nieuwe generatie NT1. De gecombineerde aansluiting XLC/usbC is ideaal voor gebruik direct in de pc. Supersnel geleverd en direct in gebruik genomen. Zeer tevreden! Deze microfoon laat zien, en vooral horen, dat kwaliteit de hoogste korting is.
A classic makeover of the highly reliable Rode NT1. The addition of the USB-C port makes recording a breeze, bypassing the need for an audio interface for a start. The recording quality is excellent for the price. USB-C recording and the analogue recording sound identical. If you’re intending to do the 32-Bit float, make sure that your device can support this feature.
Gewoon een top microfoon weer van Rode met een mega headroom. Netjes verpakt en makkelijk aan te sluiten. Ik raad wel aan om voor het aan te schaffen van deze microfoon te kijken of u beschikt over een USB-C aansluiting op uw laptop of computer. Die had ik niet, dus ik heb ook een Rode SC-18 kabel gekocht om de microfoon via USB (3.0) te kunnen aansluiten.

Ik koop al mijn muziekapparatuur bij Bax en zo ook deze microfoon die ik tot op heden altijd gebruik met heel erg veel plezier. De medewerkers geven altijd goed geïnformeerd advies en de microfoon zelf werkt uitstekend. Ik heb de NT2 ook maar de NT1 gebruik ik vaker. Snel weer even langs komen om mijn nieuwe set-up te halen met KRK monitoren.
